Amendments to Notification No. 74/90-C.E. [Chapter 85]

Notification No. 71/91-C.E.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 74/90-Central Excises, dated the 20th March, 1990, namely :-

In the Table annexed to the said notification, -

(i) against Sl. No. 1, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Rs. 5.00 per sq. metre." shall be substituted;

(ii) against Sl. No. 3, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Rs. 15 per sq. metre." shall be substituted;

(iii) against Sl. No. 4, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Rs. 4 per cassette plus Rs. 15.00 per sq. metre of the magnetic tape content in the cassette." shall be substituted;

(iv) against Sl. No. 6, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Rs. 5.00 per sq. metre." shall be substituted;

(v) against Sl. No. 9, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Rs. 15.00 per sq. metre." shall be substituted; and

(vi) against Sl. No. 10, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Rs. 5 per cassette plus Rs. 15.00 per sq. metre of the magnetic tape content in the cassette." shall be substituted.
