Amendment to Notification No. 64/86-C.E. [Chapter 84]

Notification No. 67/91-C.E.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 64/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986, namely :-

In the Table annexed to the said notification, for Sl. No. 17 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. Nos. and entries shall be substituted, namely :-

"17.	84.42	Gravure printing cylinders and nickel perforated rotary cylinder screens.	Nil	If used within the factory of production or in any other factory of the same manufacturer for printing purposes : Provided that where the said goods are used in a factory of a manufacturer, different from his factory where the said goods have been manufactured, the exemption contained in this notification shall be allowable subject to the observance of the procedure set out in Chapter X of the said rules.
18.	84.42	Lithograp-hic plates	Nil	If used within the factory of production for printing purposes.".
