Effective rates of duty on tyres, tubes and flaps - Amendment to notification No. 41/89-C.E.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 41/89-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1989, namely :-

In the Table to the said notification, -

(i) against Sl. No. 1, in column (2), after the figures and letters "3.50-10-6PR,", the figures and letters "3.5-10-8PR," shall be inserted;

(ii) against Sl. No. 3, in column (2), -

(a) against the entry A(i), for the figures and word "8.25.20 and 8.25-15", the figures and word "8.25-15, 8.25-16, 8.25-20, and 260x508" shall be substituted;

(b) against the entry A(iv), for the figures "11.00-24", the figures "11.00-22, 11.00-22.5, 11.00-24, 11.00-24.5" shall be substituted;

(c) against the entry B(i), for the figures and letters "LT195/80-D 15", the figures and letters "195/70-B 15, 195/70-D 15, LT195/80-D 15, 195/70-R 15, 10.00/75-15.3, 11.05/80-15.3" shall be substituted;

(iii) after Sl. No. 15 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :-
