Iron and steel [Chapter 72]

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table.

01.	202/88-Central Excises, dated the 20th May, 1988	In the Table annexed to the said notification, against S. No. 01, in column (3), the words and figures "cast articles of iron falling under sub-heading No. 7325.10", shall be omitted.
02.	223/88-Central Excises, dated the 23rd June, 1988	In the Table annexed to the said notification,- (i) against S. No. 01, for the entry under column (2), the entry "Any heading or sub-heading of Chapter 73, 84, 85, 86 or 87" shall be substituted; (ii) against S.No. 03, for the entry under column (3), the entry "Castings and cast articles of steel" shall be substituted.
