Amendment to Notification No. 63/87-C.E. [CH. 59]

In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-rule (1) of Rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 63/87-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1987, namely :-

In the said notification, for the Explanation, the following Explanation shall be substituted, namely :-

'Explanation' :  For the purposes of S. No. 12 of the said Table, "chindies" means the side trimmings of coated width not exceeding 6 centimetres.
