Effective rates of excise duty on certain specified made-up articles of textiles - Amendment to Notification No. 65/87

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 65/87-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1987, namely :-

In the Table annexed to the said notification, -

(i) against S. No. 04, in column (3), the following shall be inserted at the end, namely :-

"but excluding sacks and bags made of polymers of ethylene or propylene";

(ii) for S. No. 05 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and entries shall be substituted, namely :-
