Amendment to Notification No. 39/87-C.E., in relation to soap of value upto Rs. 30,000/- per tonne

In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-rule (1) of Rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 39/87-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1987, namely :-

In the Table annexed to the said notification, against S. No. 02, in column (2), for the words and figures "Rs. 25,000 per tonne", the words and figures "Rs. 30,000 per tonne" shall be substituted.
