Setting up a sector specific SEZ for biotechnology sector at Village Thrikkakara North, Taluk Kanayannur, District Ernakulam - Kerala - De-notification of certain area notified vide Notification No. S.O. 1201(E), 1202(E), 1203(E) dated 12th May, 2009 MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 30th April, 2010 S.O. 994(E).- Whereas, M/s. TCG Urban Infrastructure Holdings Limited, a private organisation in the State of Kerala, had proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act ) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for biotechnology sector at Village Thrikkakara North, Taluk Kanayannur, District Ernakulam in the State of Kerala; And whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006 , had notified an area of 12.141 hectares, comprising the following survey number and area as given below in the Table at the above location as Special Economic Zone vide the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Numbers S.O.1201(E), 1202(E), 1203(E) dated 12th May, 2009:- TABLE Sl. TCG Urban Infrastructure Holdings Limited has proposed to denotify the entire area of 12.141 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone and the Central Government has granted letter of approval for denotification of above area on 19th February, 2010. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of' rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
