Setting up a sector specific SEZ for information technology and information technology enabled services at Near DA-II CT , Sargasan Dhola Kuan Road , District Gandhinagar - Gujarat - De-notification of certain area notified vide Notification No. S.O. 1406(E), 1407(E), 1408(E) dated 9th June, 2008 MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 30th April, 2010 S.O. 995(E). - Whereas, M/s. DLF Limited, a private organisation in the State of Gujarat, had proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act ) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Near DA-II CT, Sargasan Dhola Kuan Road, District Gandhinagar in the Slate of Gujarat; And whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006 , had notified an area of 10-12-00 hectares, comprising of the following survey number and area as given below in the table at the above location as Special Economic Zone vide the Ministry of Commerce and industry Notification Numbers S.O.1406(E) , 1407(E) , 1408(E) dated 9th June, 2008 :- TABLE Serial No. Plot Number Area (in hectares) (1) (2) (3) 1. 2 10-12-00 And Whereas, M/s. DLF Limited has proposed to denotify the entire area of 10-12-00 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone and the Central Government has granted letter of approval for denotification of above area on 5th June 2009; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
