Amendments in the NOTIFICATION NO. 58/2003-CE & 59/2003-CE, DT. 22/07/2003 - 081/2003 - Central Excise - Tariff

Amendments in the NOTIFICATION NO. 58/2003-CE 59/2003-CE, DT. 22/07/2003 NOTIFICATION NO. 81/2003-CE DATED 31/12/2003 G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act,1944 (1of 1944), read with sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act 1957 (58 of 1957), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. In the said notification, in paragraph 2, for the figures, letters and words "1st day of January, 2004", the figures, letters and words "1st day of March, 2004 " shall be substituted. 2. 59/2003-CENTRAL EXCISE, dated the 22nd July, 2003 (G.S.R 576(E), dated the 22nd July, 2003). In the said notification, in paragraph 2, for the figures, letters and words "1st day of January, 2004", the figures, letters a words "1st day of March, 2004" shall be substituted. [F. The principal notification No. 58/2003-CENTRAL EXCISE, dated the 22nd July, 2003, was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide G.S.R 575 ( E), dated the 22nd July, 2003 and was last amended by notification No.77/2003-Central Excise, dated the 29th November, 2003 [G.S.R. 812 (E), dated the 29th November, 2003]. 2. The principal notification No. 59/2003-CENTRAL EXCISE, dated the 22nd July, 2003, was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide G.S.R 576 (E), dated the 22nd July, 2003 and was last amended by notification No. 77/2003-Central Excise, dated the 29th November, 2003 [G.S.R. 915 (E), dated the 29th November, 2003] (Please refer Ntf.
