Unfair Trade Practices

There is no such proposal to define the limits of acceptable advertising under the consideration of the Competition Appellate Tribunal (CAT).

The CAT being an adjudicatory body hears and dispose of appeals against any directions issued or decisions made or order passed by the Competition Commission of India (CCI) under various sections of the Competition Act, 2002 including unfair trade practices.

This information was given by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs Shri R.P.N. Singh in the Lok Sabha today in reply to a written question .
