Central Government had notified the Special Economic Zones at Mundra in the State of Gujarat - S.O.1443 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 31st May, 2013 S.O.1443(E).- Whereas, the Central Government had notified the Special Economic Zones at Mundra in the State of Gujarat under the following notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Ministry of Commerce), namely :- (1) S.O. 936 (E) dated 23rd June, 2006 over an area of 2406.7592 hectares (2) S.O. 1071 (E) dated 3rd July, 2007 over an area of 251.4308 hectares, (3) S.O 2174 (E) dated 24th December, 2007 over an area of 74.6145 hectares (4) S.O. 2022 (E) dated 11th August, 2008 over an area of 2113.7962 hectares (5) S.O 1079 (E) dated 2nd May, 2008 over an area of 1074.1755 hectares (6) S. O 742 (E) dated 10th May,2007 over an area of 293.8810 hectares (7) S.O. 1365 (E) dated 27th May, 2009 over an area of 258.2112 hectares And, whereas, the Central Government, decided to consolidate all the above mentioned notified areas referred in the preceding paragraphs without affecting rights, obligations and fiscal benefits of the developer(s) . And, whereas, to this effect, the Central Government vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 1365 (E) dated 27th May, 2009 , re-notified the initial and subsequent notifications as a composite Special Economic Zone of Mundra Port and Special Economic Zone Limited (now known as Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited) over an area of 6472.8684 hectares; And, whereas, M/s. Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited has now proposed for the de notification of 16.5335 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; And, whereas, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 16.5335 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 6456.3349 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone, comprising the survey numbers and the area given below in the table, namely :- TABLE (Area is in hectares) Serial No. Name of the Village Sr. No. of Notification dated 27.05.2009 Survey/ Khata Number Area originally notified Area being Denotified Remaining area (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) (7) 1.
