Amends Notification No. 79/2008-Customs, 06-13-2008 [TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA , EXTRAORDINARY, PART II, SECTION 3, SUB-SECTION (i)] GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF FINANCE (DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE) NOTIFICATION NO. 147/2009-Cus. Dated: December 24, 2009 G.S.R. 926(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) , the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the Notification No. 79/2008-Customs, dated the 13th June, 2008 , published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide number G.S.R. 458(E), namely :- In the said notification, for the figures and words "5% ad valorem", the figures and words "10% ad valorem" shall be substituted. No. 354 /259/2009-TRU] (Prashant Kumar) Under Secretary to the Government of India Note. - The principal notification No. 79/2008-Customs, dated the 13th June, 2008 , was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide number G.S.R. 458(E), dated the 13th June, 2008 and was last amended vide notification No. 130/2008, dated the 7th December, 2008 , which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide number G.S.R. 844(E) of the same date.
