Section 54 - Amendment of Act 1 of 1944 - Finance Act, 1983

Excise 54. Amendment of Act 1 of 1944 The First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (hereinafter referred to as the Central Excises Act),- (a) shall be amended in the manner specified in the Third Schedule; and (b) shall, with effect from such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint, be also amended in the manner specified in the Fourth Schedule.
