Dated: 22-06-2017 TRADE NOTICE NO. 01/2017 Sub: GST- Creation of Puducherry Central Tax Commissionerate and re-organisation of jurisdiction of Puducherry Central Excise and Service Tax Commissionerate -Reg. Attention of Trade and Public is invited to the Notification No.02/2017-Central Tax issued by CBEC, wherein the jurisdiction of Puducherry Central Tax (CGST) Commissionerate has been notified. The territorial jurisdiction of the Divisions and Ranges of this CGST Commissionerate is given in the Annexure enclosed. By virtue of the said CBCE Notification, these formations have come into effect from 2. Puducherry Central Tax Commissionerate (CGST Commissionerate), its Divisions and Ranges will also attend to the Central Excise and Service Tax matters pertaining to the revised Jurisdiction. 3. It is also to be noted that the Cuddalore Division of erstwhile Puducherry Commissionerate is now under the Tiruchirappalli Central Tax (CGST) Commissionerate and the Villupuram Division is now under the Chennai - Outer Central Tax (CGST) Commissionerate. 4. The CGST Karaikal Division of erstwhile Tiruchirappalli Commissionerate will now be under this Commissionerate and it will comprise of 3 Ranges in Karaikal and one Range each at Mahe and Yanam regions of Puducherry Union Territory. 5. Further, Audit-I Commissionerate Chennai and Commissioner Appeals-I, Chennai have also come into effect from 22.06.2017 under the CSGT with new jurisdictions. They will handle Audit and Appeals functions pertaining to the jurisdiction of this Commissionerate respectively. 6.
