SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA NOTIFICATION Mumbai, the 11th August, 2009 No.LAD-NRO/GN/2009-10/13/172730 - WHEREAS vide Notification No. LAD/NRO/GN/2009-10/04/163097 dated May 13, 2009, the Securities and Exchange Board of India had specified that approved users and sales personnel of trading members of the Currency Derivatives Segment of a recognised stock exchange, as on May 12, 2009, shall obtain Series-I: CD certification, as described in the said Notification, by 10th August, 2009. WHEREAS in view of the difficulties expressed by the industry, it has been decided to extend the period for obtaining certification by such approved users and sales personnel upto 30 th September, 2009. Accordingly, a trading member of the Currency Derivatives Segment of a recognized stock exchange shall ensure that all its approved users and sales personnel, engaged or employed as on May 12, 2009, obtain Series-I: CD certification by September 30, 2009.
