Certain final products falling under Chapter 72 or 73 or 84

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 208/83-Central Excises, dated the 1st August, 1983, namely :-

In the Table annexed to the said notification, against S. No. 1, in column (3), for the words "and tubes and pipes and blanks therefor of iron", the words "tubes and pipes and blanks therefor of iron; and cast iron soil pipe fittings" shall be substituted.
