Central Government de-notifies an area of 11.53 hectares, making resultant area as 27.31 hectares, at Outer Ring Road, Devarabeesanhalli Village, Varthur Hobli, Bengaluru East Taluk, Bengaluru in the State of Karnataka - S.O. 2261(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 24th May, 2018 S.O. 2261(E).- Whereas, M/s. Vikas Telecom Private Limited, a private organization in the state of Karnataka, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Outer Ring Road, Devarabeesanhalli Village, Varthur Hobli, Bengaluru East Taluk, Bengaluru in the State of Karnataka; And, whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006 , had notified areas of 36.85 hectares, 1.31 hectares and 0.68 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification numbers S.O. 1465(E) dated 8th September, 2006 , S.O. No. 781 (E) dated 28th March, 2008 and S.O. 762(E) dated 12th March, 2015 respectively; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Vikas Telecom Private Limited has now proposed for de-notification of 11.53 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Karnataka has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. CI 98 SPI 2018 dated 24.04.2018; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Cochin Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 11.53 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 11.53 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 27.31 hectares, comprising the survey numbers and the area given below in the table, namely:- TABLE FOR DE-NOTIFICATION AREA Sl.
